Medina Foundation  Medina Foundation gives $12,000 for general operating expenses. We could not serve this community, enabling them to acquire or improve the skills so necessary to being more productive citizens, without the generosity of our partners!

Our programs meet a great and otherwise unmet need in our community. There are 12% of county residents without a high school diploma; more than 8% need ESL assistance; many families are living in poverty (27% of children in our school system qualify for a free or reduced lunch); and 20% of county residents read at or below a 5th grade reading level.

Harvest Foundation  Harvest Foundation - $10,000 grant received for general operating support. This grant allows us to continue serving an average of 500 students per year and expand our services across Kitsap County.

People who lack basic literacy skills are everywhere – one in six adults in Washington lack the basic education skills to succeed in the workplace and community. Literacy programs in our state serve 60,000 people per year, but it is estimated that this is only 8% of those who are in need of basic literacy instruction.

Cup of Tea   Stay-at-Home Tea 2007 was a resounding success! Our donors support our mission in a way no other organization can, to the tune of more than $10,000 this year. We are so grateful for people who are passionate enough about reading and learning that they want to enable others to develope the same love.

One new donor, Mr. & Mrs. J. Robinson, gave $2,000 - the largest donation ever from an individual in this non-event!
